In an attempt to integrate college sports into the academic framework, the NCAA has funded a new journal about sport in higher education.
The new Journal of Intercollegiate Sport aims to "promote the integration of athletics with the educational missions of colleges and universities." Its publisher is Human Kinetics Press.
