Perhaps closing a 13-year saga, Columbia University NY and an award-winning econ professor have settled the professor's gender discrimination suit against the school.

Graciela Chichilnisky accused Columbia of paying her less than male counterparts. Chichilnisky sued the school on the same issue in 1995, receiving a $500,000 settlement and a raise from $60,000 a year to $110,000.

Chichilnisky filed suit again in 2000, claiming that her pay was less than her male counterparts and that the school took away one of her offices without notice. Columbia filed its own suit, claiming that Chichilnisky had a secret job that she did not disclose to the school, which was a breach of the previous settlement.

This June, Chichilnisky sued Columbia for $11 million for breaching the terms of the previous settlement, which resulted in a $200,000 ...
