I refer to the article "Top-level Torture" in the June 9 issue by Becky Akers. She writes that waterboarding was "beloved" by the Nazis and the Khmer Rouge. I don't know what the Khmer Rouge did, but I have never heard of nor have I seen anything in writing that the Germans used waterboarding. It is nowadays so easy, even fashionable, to accuse the Germans of anything as long as it is gruesome. This tactic dates back to WWI when the British spread the lie about Belgian babies having their arms chopped off by those miserable Germans.
