SYDNEY, Aug 1 Asia Pulse - Buderim Ginger Ltd (ASX:BUG) has forecast its annual pre-tax profit to rise by as much as $A2 million ($US1.88 million), in line with its guidance.
The company's guidance for the 2008 calendar year was for a pre-tax profit rise of between $A1 million ($US940,600) and $A2 million ($US1.88 million).
Profit before tax for the six months ended June was likely to be $A500,000 ($US470,300), compared with a loss of $A60,000 ($US56,436) for the same period in 2007, Brisbane-based Buderim said in a statement.
"We believe this is a very creditable result given the tough trading environment for most of our businesses at present," chairman John Ruscoe said in the statement.
Mr Ruscoe said all divisions improved during the first half of the year despite difficult trading conditions exacerbated by the strength of the Australian dollar.
