SEOUL, Aug 1 Asia Pulse - LS Cable Ltd. (KSE:006260), South Korea's biggest wire and cable maker, said Friday that it has acquired 86.88 per cent of U.S.-based Superior Essex in a tender offer.
LS Cable said it also expects to acquire an additional stake of 7.04 per cent, the company said in a regulatory filing.
In June, the South Korean company offered US$45 a share to buy 81 per cent, or 19.7 million shares of Superior Essex. The tender offer was conducted from July 1 to July 30, it said.
