BLOOMBERG TELEVISION Covers China During Olympic Games
NEW YORK and HONG KONG, August 1 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ --
Starting Monday, BLOOMBERG TELEVISION(R) viewers will see live special reports on China from Bloomberg's Beijing and Hong Kong bureaus before, during and immediately after the Olympic Games. Bloomberg anchors Steve Engle and Susan Li will report from Beijing and interview guests across Asia about China's development and the financial impact of the games.
Special coverage related to the Olympics will explore the impact of lower-than-expected tourism leading up to the games, the development of China's culinary industry, China's ongoing environmental challenges, efforts to clean up Beijing's air and the transformation of Shenyang from the second most polluted city on earth to an Olympic host site where the air is cleaner than Beijing's.
BLOOMBERG TELEVISION coverage of China during the 2008 Olympics will air across Asia, Europe, the U.K. and the U.S. starting Monday, August 4. In Asia, segments will air on Bloomberg Live at 6AM HKT, Bloomberg Now at 9AM HKT, Bloomberg Today airing at 11PM HKT and Asia Business Tonight airing at 6PM and 8PM HKT. The special reports can be seen in the US and Europe on Bloomberg Live, which airs at 7PM ET/ 12AM BST.
