SEOUL, Aug 1 Asia Pulse - South Korea's electronic securities transactions fell 17.9 per cent in the first quarter from three months earlier mainly because trading was sluggish amid slumping stock markets, the financial watchdog said Friday.
The volume of online securities transactions reached 1,427 trillion won (US$1.41 trillion) in the January-March period, compared with 1,739 trillion won from the previous quarter, the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) said.
