A universal right exercised by seemingly all students aged five through 18 is the freedom to vehemently express distaste for homework assignments. In the older portion of that aforementioned age bracket, it's probably understood that assignments are, for the most part, built for the student's benefit and overall comprehension of the material. Still, this is no consolation; homework, in those days, was a curse, a blight on an evening that could've been filled with socializing or productively curling up with a bag of chips and several television shows.
