Although unsuccessful, Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential campaign will inspire more women to run for office and accelerate gender equity in politics, according to experts.

Clinton has "shown more women and girls that anything is possible, and that they can shoot for whatever they like, including the presidency," said Faith Winter, national field director for the White House Project, a group working to get more women into politics.
