TEXAS DISTRICT ATTORNEY MIKE TRENT has finally come under fire for a 2003 e-mail in which he referred to the Black people on a jury as "Canadians." No, he wasn't talking about Black people from that country. According to an online database of racial slurs, the term "Canadian" is nowadays a replacement for the n-word.

Comic artist KEITH KNIGHT applies the term to our national conversation about race and the presidential election.
