As I WRITE--late in May--all branches of the media are filled with speculation about the leadership of the Coalition parties now in Opposition. A more pointless or profitless activity would be hard to imagine.

Most of these numerous bubbles of media baloney float on nothing more buoyant than some "leaked" email, or on some journalist's impression that so-and-so looked "full of confidence" (or "hesitant and confused") when last seen on television with some crass talk-show "host".
