I lived and worked in Antarctica 10 years ago when top scientists explained global warming to people at McMurdo. Let me give you a jolt of reality. We burn 80 million barrels of oil every 24 hours, seven days a week, and 52 weeks a year around the globe, decade in and decade out. Let me give you an idea of how much oil that is: if you take a drum of oil at 20 inches in diameter at the base and placed 80 million drums side by side, they would stretch 25,000 miles around the equator.
