JAKARTA, July 1 Asia Pulse - Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia Kojiro Shiojiri said the Japan-Indonesia Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) could be a model for world economic cooperation, as the two countries have built continuous, profound and close relations and improved a mutually beneficial economic scheme.
"I am sure EPA can serve as an example for world economy cooperation as the two countries have built diplomatic relations for over 50 years," Shiojiri told press Monday.
The recently signed Japan-Indonesia EPA takes effect July 1, 2008 and have the objective of strengthening bilateral and regional economic relations, not only as contained in the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) but also a wide-ranging cooperation in investment and population movements.
