UZBEKTELECOM'S TOTAL 2007 EARNINGS UP 14.6 PCT TO US$136 MLN.(Financial report)
TASHKENT, July 1 Asia Pulse - Uzbektelecom company held a shareholders meeting in Tashkent to consider its 2007 earnings results. The meeting was conducted by Vice Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and chairman of the Uzbektelecom supervisory board, Abdulla Aripov.
Uzbektelecom is the largest telecommunications operator in Uzbekistan. Its network coverage spans the whole country and is the largest telecommunication services provider to state bodies and departments.
Uzbektelecom implemented a number of large projects in 2007. The company drew almost 40 billion soums (US$30.8 million) of investments from all sources, UzA reported.
