WASHINGTON, July 1 Asia Pulse - The United States Monday reiterated its strong alliance of South Korea despite weeks of street rallies in South Korea against shipments of U.S. beef from older cattle due to concerns over mad cow disease.
"We have a longstanding history of military and security cooperation," said Tom Casey, deputy spokesman at the U.S. State Department. "I don't think this or any other individual issues are going to change the fundamental relations (between the two countries)."
