The current slowdown in the U.S. economy and the global airfreight industry could last another three years before a return to annual growth above 5 percent, according to a new forecast.

The global airfreight market should return to an average annual growth rate of 5.6 percent by 2011 after a slowdown in the near term, according to the 2008 OAG Global Air Freight Forecast.
