Now that the cold weather has finally lost its grip on most of the nation, and the kids are finishing the school year, it's time to start thinking about traveling, vacations, and relaxing.
But this time of the year can also be a good opportunity to start thinking about donating that car, truck, or van that you no longer need that is taking up space in your driveway or garage. Many of you have generously donated a great variety of vehicles to Autos for Life in the past, and there have also been some great stories that go along with them.
Recently, a gentleman in Washington state donated a 1956 Ford Customline to National Right to Life through our Autos for Life program. The car had been bought new by his father and kept in the same family for 56 years!
As donations, collector's cars are a little out of the ordinary, so we were truly excited! Also, after being in the same family for so long, I'm sure a lot of thought went into which organization should receive it!
The car had been restored some years back. It was purchased from our online auction by a gentleman in Idaho who runs a collector car dealership and had been looking for just such a car!
