The Center for Leadership & Civic Engagement (LEADS) began a study by trying to discover the leadership practices of African-American women leaders. It ended by producing some interesting news on the fall presidential election.
LEADS is located at Spelman College, a South Carolina women's college serving mainly minorities. The group's national survey asked minority women what they sought in a president. The random telephone survey reached 905 women respondents, all Democrats who planned to vote in the fall presidential election.
They found that less than 10% of minority women Democrats--African-American, Hispanic, Asian, Pacific Islander, and Native American--said their main concern was the candidate's race or gender. ...
