Laparoscopy Reimbursement
In the article "Rise of TVT Shifts Focus Prom Laparoscopic to Vaginal Surgery," Dr. Mark D. Walters compared reimbursement for tension-free vaginal tape (TVT) and Burch procedures (Feb. 15, 2003, p. 11).
Since the HMOs I deal with pay quite a bit less than the amounts he mentioned, I would like to know where TVT and Burch procedures are reimbursed at such high rates.

The amounts given in the article were the complete amounts that we bill for doing the two operations.
