Before the scheduled appearance of Pope Benedict XVI in April, presidents of the nation's Catholic colleges anticipated a stern lecture on adhering to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. But in his address to 200 presidents of Catholic colleges, he discussed the importance of education in the United States to the mission of the Church.
