You might think that celebrities would reveal their greatest fears only to their shrinks, but when we asked them to divulge their phobias at the Sundance Film Festival, the SAG Awards, and the New York Film Critics Circle Awards, some stars were surprisingly forthcoming.
Fear of flying ranked highest on the list. "I hate it," said Heidi Klum. "And there's nothing I can do about it." Molly Sims even has a preflight ritual to manage her terror. "I always step into the plane with my right foot," she said. "And no one can talk to me when we're taking off."
Snakes also induced a degree of terror, and rapper 50 Cent managed to combine the two: " Snakes on a Plane. That was one of those movies I had to watch during the day," he said.
Airplanes (with or without reptiles) are no problem for Anne Hathaway, but oddly, she hates getting on the phone with a stranger. "I go skydiving; I do my own stunts," she said. "But the idea of calling the pizza guy frightens the hell out of me." And it turns out that George Clooney is afraid of, well, us. His phobia? "Interviews."
