Former allure contributor Jeannie Ralston, author of The Unlikely Lavender Queen: A Memoir of Unexpected Blossoming (Broadway Books), left Manhattan for Texas to start a lavender farm and a line of beauty products. We asked her about the appeal of the famously soporific herb.
