An Interview With Mollie Fitzgerald
Fitzgerald is a co-owner of Frontiers International Travel, which specializes in outdoor adventure vacations.
I've noticed that women are challenging themselves when they travel--and having a lot more fun because of it. I start by finding out when a client wants to travel, since you have to work around rainy seasons. Then it's just a question of dreaming up the adventure.
Consider the activity. When you try something totally unfamiliar, a vacation can be a life-altering experience. If you want to learn to surf, why not sign up for surf camp in Indonesia? If you're interested in scuba diving, join a group going to Australia's Great Barrier Reef. For a client who loved biking, we found an amazing trip in Tanzania where he could ride alongside the great wildebeest migration.
