Who? Jessica Alba. What? The June cover of allure, shot by Michael Thompson. When? March 10. Where? Pier 59 Studios West in Santa Monica. Why? This month, the actress stars in The Love Guru with Mike Myers and Justin Timberlake--and will soon welcome her first child with fiance Cash Warren. All Over the Map: Alba arrived in a hybrid-electric SUV, amazed that she had made it on time. As she explained to the crew, when the driver had picked her up from her Los Angeles home that morning, he had confessed that he didn't know his way to the studio--so she gave him directions. Born Identity: As she sat for hair and makeup, Alba chatted about her pregnancy--and even discussed the sex of the baby, although she requested that the crew keep it a secret. The star also joked about putting the baby in self-defense classes as soon as it is born. Best Foot Forward: Even in her third trimester, the pregnant star didn't bat an eye when allure creative director Paul Cavaco suggested she wear a pair of four-inch Sergio Rossi heels for the photographs. "Jessica laughed because her center of balance was a little off," said Cavaco. "But she's a pro." When she wasn't in heels, the star walked around in pink Ugg slippers that she brought in her Goldenbleu handbag. Main Squeeze: In addition to using a car service that offered hybrid vehicles, the actress had only one other request for the allure shoot: lemonade.
