Edward Moy is the 2008 recipient of the Student Achievement Recognition (StAR) Studio Teacher Fellowship Award.
Moy is a graduate of Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. He received a master's degree in piano pedagogy in 2006 and plans to further pursue music education in the future. Moy enjoys teaching a variety of students from 5 to over 50 years of age, as well as students from diverse social and ethnic backgrounds.
A native of Hong Kong, China, Moy began taking piano lessons at age 5 from his mother, who remains one of his most important mentors. Shortly after starting piano lessons, he became interested in the violin and began taking violin lessons, as well. Moy still plays and teaches the violin.
