The Tidewater Music Teachers Forum (TMTF) in Virginia Beach, Virginia, has been selected as the 2008 MTNA Local Association of the Year.
TMTF was honored with the award for several reasons. Its support of the MTNA Certification program impressed committee members, as TMTF offers a summer certification workshop, have a high percentage of members certified and also offers rebates to teachers to help reimburse costs of certification.
