Like many musicians, I work a great deal from home. Of course, I have teaching and performing gigs that take me outside, but there are many days that I spend entirely between the walls of my colorful house. Most of the time I love this. Take today for example: I was up at 6:00 A.M., at the piano practicing by 6:45 A.M., my first student arrived at 8 A.M. I have two more lessons from 12:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M., then four more from 4:15 P.M.-7:15 P.M. In between, I am doing more practicing and trying to coax a piece of writing into existence; I have a rehearsal from 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. for an upcoming recital.
