Chinese coal giant Shenhua has initiated trial production at its direct-liquefaction, coal-to-liquids (CTL) plant in Inner Mongolia, according to a report from Interfax news service.

The 1 million tons/year plant will produce diesel, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and naphtha, under the first phase.
