Canada-based mining company Sherritt International announced at its annual shareholders meeting last week that it can't go forward on its proposed $3.3 billion Dodds-Roundhill coal gasification project in Alberta until provincial and federal regulators agree on a CO2 emissions regulatory scheme.

According to a report from the Globe & Mail (Toronto), Sherritt Chairman Ian Delaney was quoted as saying: "I think there has been an absolute lack of leadership on both the provincial and federal level ... they are sticking...
