US PREDICTS BIG INCREASE IN AGRICULTURAL EXPORTS TO S KOREA.
WASHINGTON, June 1 Asia Pulse - United States agricultural exports to South Korea are expected to reach US$4.4 billion for fiscal year (FY) 2008, up 38.5 per cent from the previous year, according to the latest estimate released on Sunday by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The new forecast is US$700 million higher than the US$3.7 billion predicted in February.
Exports to Asia in general are forecast at a record US$38.7 billion for 2008, up US$3.7 billion from February predictions and US$9.4 billion higher than 2007.
