The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency opened public hearings regarding Baard Energy's proposed coal-to-liquids (CTL) plant in Columbiana County.

If approved, the $5 billion Ohio River Clean Fuels plant would produce 35,000 to 53,000 bbl/d of diesel and jet fuel, as well as other liquids.
