Lincoln Middle School staff and its students Friday will celebrate two decades of dusty chalkboards, open books, hard-working teachers and the children they attempted to teach.
Friday's celebration will mark 20 years in the education business for Lincoln. The celebration starts at 1 p.m. in the school gymnasium and the community and former staff are invited.
The school opened in the fall of 1983 as part of the Albuquerque Public Schools district and since then has seen thousands of students come through the doors.
