ARIZONA
Scottsdale-Zaio Corp. appointed Mark R. Chapin as vice president, zone sales. Most recently Mr. Chapin served FIS Valuation Solutions (formerly Hansen Quality) as senior vice president for business development, and prior to that post was executive vice president and chief appraisal officer for Forum Technologies. From the late 1980s, he served Record Data as a regional chief appraiser then spent 12 years as chief appraiser for General American Corp.
CALIFORNIA
Walnut Creek-The PMI Group Inc. appointed Jon Ballard as vice president of field servicing and will be based in Austin, Texas.
Mr. Ballard comes to PMI from Radian Guaranty Inc., where he served most recently as vice president of mortgage risk.
While at Radian, he developed insurable risk guidelines and was responsible for loss mitigation, counterparty servicing, credit policies, transaction and portfolio analysis, and international mortgage risk policy.
Prior to Radian, he held several management positions, including assistant vice president of default servicing at Citizens Federal Bank in Florida.
