A new, noninvasive way to obliterate fat was unveiled at a recent meeting of the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery. Known as cold fat destruction or cryolipolysis, it uses a plate that chills fat deep within the body, killing the fat cells and allowing them to be metabolized, while surrounding skin, muscle, and nerves are unaffected.
