Les enJEux de l'autobiographie dans les litteratures de langue francaise, as the title indicates, is a collection of recent essays that examine the many facets of autobiographical writing from the postcolonial, francophone literary canon. The essays contained in the volume cover quite a diverse grouping of authors and employ a variety of critical approaches to the study of fictional and nonfictional works. According to the editors' introduction, the objective of the volume is to shed light on the "cause and effect" (10) relationship between autobiography and hybridity. The authors of the individual articles, most of whom are faculty at universities in Germany and Austria, are themselves engaged with contemporary literary theories on autobiography as well...
