Two years ago on 1 April 2006, I started Side-A, ostensibly another bespoke/niche events management agency, with some graphic design on the side. In a bid for PR, I persuaded C&IT to feature us in a series called 'Diary of a start-up', the idea being that I could explore some of the problems faced when starting your own agency.
