CONSULTANTS ASK JAKARTA TO TIGHTEN ISSUANCE OF BUILDING.
JAKARTA, May 1 Asia Pulse - The Indonesian Consultants Association (Inkindo) has officially asked the Jakarta City Administration to tighten the issuance and use of building permits.
"Building permits should be used by the Jakarta City Administration to evaluate and determine the functional feasibility of buildings in areas under its jurisdiction," General Chairman of the Jakarta Inkindo executive board Bambang Wikanta said in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Wikanta on the sidelines of a meeting on the familiarization of the impact of the revision of Law No 40 of 2007 on limited liability companies on corporate legality, said that the evaluation needed to be conducted in view of the still many accidents due to the lack of the appropriate standards in building constructions.
"The proposal had already been submitted to the Jakarta Governor, and we agreed to discuss the matter soon," Wikanta said.
