SYDNEY, May 1 Asia Pulse - The Australian stock market has opened lower this morning, following uncertainty in the US overnight with an interest rate cut and the release of data reprting very low economic growth.
Wall Street closed weaker after the Federal Reserve trimmed interest rates but left the outlook for further rate cuts unclear.
At 1017 AEST, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was down 35.7 points, or 0.64 per cent, to 5559.7, and the broader All Ordinaries lost 33.1 points, or 0.59 per cent, to 5623.9.
