Spring is flower powered--from the runway to the dressing table.
Forget that it's still freezing--spring is coming early this year. The runways morphed into one big garden party, with designers conjuring all manner of blossom and bloom, from pretty to punky. Nicolas Ghesquiere referenced Cristobal Balenciaga's archived prints for his structured matelasse designs of swirling florals in a melee of bright, brocade-like colors; Dolce & Gabbana adorned their showstopping strapless dresses with painterly petals; and Thakoon Panichgul made edgy pretty with a rainbow of computer-generated techno-flowers.
