This month, London's 54 The Gallery hosts "Fruit, Vegetables, and a Few Flowers," an exhibition of work by the artist and expert gardener Emma Tennant. A delicious lesson in the history and beauty of homegrown plants, the show features more than 60 of Tennant's watercolor-and-ink paintings of fruit and vegetable varieties. "It started as a diary," says Tennant. "After picking things, I'd draw them and then date the drawings to keep track of what arrives in a season and when."
