In the matter of women's jeans, it's counterintuitive to speak of classics. In the transitory realm of denim, J Brand, the line founded three years ago by Susie Crippen and Jeff Rudes, stands out from the pack for its ability to consistently embody the coolest, most elegant silhouettes. First off, Crippen and Rudes gave us superskinnies that stretched just enough to flatter the curves of an American woman (ask Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow). Recently, their Love Story, a higher-waisted style with a cunningly flared leg, has become this year's wait-list wonder.
