Exposure to sexism in rap music may increase a person's likelihood to be sexist, according to a recent study reported in the Journal of Applied Psychology.
Two North Carolina State University professors tested female and male students' reactions to rap music and how it affected their levels of sexism. The men found that rap music had an effect on the males' sexist attitudes, but they couldn't pinpoint the music as the cause of the attitude.
