BLACK PEOPLE LIVING in nursing homes are more likely to be admitted to a hospital than their white counterparts, according to a new study published by Health Services Research, Researchers surveyed half a million residents in more than 9,000 nursing homes across the country and found that 24 percent of Black residents were hospitalized compared to 18 percent of whites during the study's five-month period.
