Dear International Trade Leaders:

Miami-Dade County is looking forward to the realization of the Free Trade Area of the Americas. Comparable to the European Union, the FTAA will join 34 countries, from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego, in the largest cooperative trade coalition in the world.

With a combined population of 800 million people, the coalition will eliminate tariffs and non-tariffs barriers to trading goods and services throughout the Western Hemisphere. It is certainly the most important trade program in the history of the Hemisphere.
