For the last several years, opponents of embryonic stem cells and all human cloning have been frustrated by the mainstream media's obsession with embryonic stem cell research and general indifference to the many research breakthroughs using adult stem cells. But that tendency may, at last, be beginning to end.

The New York Times has prominently reported a story about an apparently successful treatment of a human patient with his own adult stem cells. Perhaps now the stubborn assertion by Big Biotech and some patient groups that the future of regenerative medicine lies primarily with embryonic stem cells and so-called therapeutic cloning is finally beginning to ...
