JAKARTA, April 1 Asia Pulse - Indonesia's state-owned PT Bank BNI (JSX:BBNI) plans to extend Rp6 trillion (US$654 million) in credits for infrastructure development this year, BBNI president director Gatot M Suwondo said.
"BBNI has a commitment to provide credits amounting to Rp24 trillion of which Rp6 trillion is intended for infrastructure development this year," he said here on Monday.
The BBNI chief said he actually wanted the provision of the credits to be done as soon as possible so that the lead time would not be too long and burden the company.
He predicted the total amount of credits the bank would extend this year would increase 20 per cent in line with domestic industrial growth.
