MAKASSAR, S Sulawesi, April 1 Asia Pulse - Indonesia's South Sulawesi province has set itself the target of producing 1.2 million tons of maize on a plantation area of 0.31 million hectares this year, a local official said.
"The 1.2 million-ton target is higher than last year's production which stood at 896,838 tons," head of South Sulawesi's Food Crops and Horticulture Service Lutfi Halide said here on Monday.
