LETTER TO WILLIAM CARLOS WILLIAMS 
 
   Dr Williams, you wrote on prescription pads 
   the poetry rose from the droves of people 
   who poured past your eyes 
   and my eyes are raging with tears of frustration 
   as she and he and they and them 
   come in and confess abuse regret 
   and question me and my medicine 
 
   and you were the trusted doctor poet writer 
   and I am the doctor poet writer 
   whom they do not trust anymore 
   we have lost our faith in healers
