SYDNEY, March 27 Asia Pulse - Job vacancy figures seem to confirm an easing in labour market pressures, but stronger evidence will be needed before the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) thinks about cutting interest rates.

The number of job vacancies fell by a seasonally adjusted 2.5 per cent in the three months to February, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) reported.

It was not a big fall, but it the first since 2005, when the labour market was suffering the delayed fallout from the deflation of the 2003 housing boom.
