The American Library Association's (ALA) Committee on Status of Women in Librarianship wants the ALA to practice more gender equity in their selection of conference speakers and their policies for listing salaries in job ads.

The group voiced concern that ALA conferences feature more male speakers than female, and they're gathering documentation to confirm their suspicions.
